Alumni Awards

The Batten University Alumni Council bestows the following alumni awards to graduates of the University in recognition of outstanding professional and/or personal accomplishments in any field of endeavor.

Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award

• Recognizes alumni who have attained distinguished achievements in a professional capacity.
• More than one alumnus/alumna may be recognized each year.

Criteria

• Nominee must be a graduate of Batten University.
• Nominee must be able to attend Founders Day Convocation.
• A nomination form must be submitted by an alumnus/alumna either online or by mail along with any supporting material(s) which may include:
  • Resume or professional vita
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Articles by or about the nominee

Alumni Service Award

• Recognizes alumni who have rendered outstanding continuing service to the University as a whole and/or meritorious public service on a local, state, national, or international level.
• More than one alumnus/alumna may be recognized each year.

Criteria

• Nominee must be a graduate of Batten University.
• Nominee must be able to attend Founders Day Convocation.
• A nomination form must be submitted by an alumnus/alumna either online or by mail along with any supporting material(s) which may include:
  • Resume or professional vita
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Articles by or about the nominee

The Beacon Award

• Recognizes alumni who have graduated from Batten University and have demonstrated strong personal values and the ideals of the University.
• More than one alumnus/alumna may be recognized each year.

Criteria

• Nominee must have graduated from Batten University.
• Nominee must be able to attend Founders Day Convocation.
• A nomination form must be submitted by an alumnus/alumna either online or by mail along with any supporting material(s) which may include:
  • Resume or professional vita
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Articles by or about the nominee

Graduate of the Last Decade "GOLD" Award

• Recognizes alumni who have graduated from Batten University within the last decade and have attained distinguished achievements in a professional capacity.
• More than one alumnus/alumna may be recognized each year.

Criteria

• Nominee must have graduated from Batten University within the last 10 years.
• Nominee must be able to attend Founders Day Convocation.
• A nomination form must be submitted by an alumnus/alumna either online or by mail along with any supporting material(s) which may include:
  • Resume or professional vita
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Articles by or about the nominee
