Student Engagement

Get involved. Build connections. Make your mark.

Student life is what makes college worth it — and at Batten University, the Office of Student Engagement makes it easy to find your place. Whether you want to lead, create, compete, perform, serve, or just show up to something fun on a Friday night, there's no shortage of ways to get involved.

With 40+ student organizations, a thriving Greek community, a student-run programming board, and a student government with a real seat at the table, the connections and experiences you build outside the classroom are every bit as valuable as the ones inside it.

Annual Traditions

Some of the best memories from college don’t happen in the classroom. These are a few of the events that define life at Batten University.

First-Year Student Festival

New students kick off their first week with live music, activities, food, and fun — the unofficial start of your Batten experience.

Homecoming

A full weekend of events: Homecoming Court, a tailgate during athletics, an alumni reunion, and a dance. The biggest weekend of the year.

Glow Party

New students dance the night away under neon lights with three dueling DJs. An early-semester tradition that's hard to forget.

Late Night Breakfast

Faculty and staff serve bacon, eggs, and biscuits to students as a final treat before final exams begin. Yes, really.

The Bobbies

The Student Leadership Awards. Student leaders and organizations are recognized for their achievements at an end-of-year celebration.

Spa à La Marlin

Free massages, giveaways, and snacks on Reading Day. A small thing that goes a long way during exam season.
