Denise Wilkinson received her Bachelor of Science degree and Master's degree in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University. She earned an Ed. S. in Developmental Education from Appalachian State University. Ms. Wilkinson's research is focused on teaching with an emphasis on pedagogy and student engagement. In addition to teaching mathematics courses, she has also directed The First Year Experience program, as well as the Innovative Teaching and Engaged Learning Center at Virginia Wesleyan University.
