Bachelor of Science in Nursing — Prerequisites

Students may apply to the BSN program at Batten University while completing prerequisite coursework. However, all core prerequisites must be successfully completed prior to official admission into the program.

Students holding an associate degree from an accredited institution must complete the following prerequisites before applying to the BSN program, all of which are offered at Batten University.

Accepted degree types: Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Arts & Sciences (AA&S)

All prerequisite courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C– prior to application.

  • All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade no lower than C–.
  • Science prerequisites should be completed recently for optimal preparation.
  • Transfer credits may fulfill prerequisite requirements pending evaluation.
  • Dual-enrollment credits earned during high school may count toward prerequisites.
